Worship - Worship reviews, plans and gives advice to Pastors concerning all worship services at Community UMC. Worship helps us express our love for God.
Nurture Ministries - Includes Sunday school and other small groups, and other settings for spiritual growth. This ministry assists persons of all ages in developing and deepening their relationship with God. Nurture ministries help us to love God.
Outreach Ministries - Includes providing for the needs of others. Activities may include church and societal matters, global ministry, campus ministry, health and welfare matters, justice matters and mission outreach. Outreach ministries help us love others.
Witness Ministries - Helps the church to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to a broken and hurting world. Witness works to spread words of hope, love, and grace to anyone in need and may include evangelism, lay servant ministries, and communications through the bulletin, newsletter, and/or website.
Finance - This committee is responsible for creating a budget for the administration of the congregation's ministries and for developing a plan to raise adequate funds in support of the congregation’s needs, both routine and special.
Trustees - The Board of Trustees is entrusted to manage the property and facilities of the congregation, including the physical plant and grounds, church equipment and the management of trusts and bequests. Trustees have fiduciary and legal responsibilities for the congregation and work to ensure that the congregation operates within local and state codes, regulations and laws.
Staff/Parish Relations - Functions as the congregation’s personnel/human resources office. This committee confers with the district superintendent on all matters related to the pastor and helps develop job descriptions for any church staff positions. This group also participates in annual evaluations of the pastors and staff.
